The S.L.A.C. (H.S. Student Library Advisory Committee) has currently been meeting to help promote Nooks in the library to the high school.

 Nine 8th grade students have joined a reading club chaired by the Bellville and Butler Public Librarians, Mrs. Eckert and Ms. Frankenfield. They are currently reading the same title as a group and will meet and discuss this book with snacks in the school library on March 19th. The name of the club is forthcoming.

The Mansfield Richland County Public Libray is sponsoring their annual teen poetry contest. The contest is open to students in grades 6-12. Any original poem of 25 lines are less can be submitted. Winners will receive $25. Deadline for entry is March 21, 2013. Entry forms can be found in the school library media center and online at: www.mrcpl.org.
