District
From the desk of the Superintendent ...
On August 7th, 2012, The Valley continued to be the BEST community in the land! Everyone in The Clear Fork Valley Local School District is very appreciative of the sacrifice that the taxpayers are giving in order to both maintain and continue growing excellence in and outside of our classrooms. Especially during tough economic times we are extremely grateful for all the support!
There were many individuals that worked extremely hard and were very dedicated to our 1% Earned Income Tax Levy Campaign. Words cannot describe the level of appreciation we have for all of the students, community members, staff members (both certified and classified), and Board of Education members that gave their support in some fashion. Without their hard work and dedication our levy campaign would not have been successful.
The newly voted revenue 1% Earned Income Tax will be going to supplementing the deficit spending that our district is incurring. The tax dollars will be solely for operational purposes. The collection of this 1% Earned Income Tax will begin in January 2013. To be able to keep informed about the financial health of our school district and the impact of this newly voted revenue, please feel free to direct your attention to our district website at www.clearfork.k12.oh.us (under the Board of Education-Minutes Tab).
As we are currently looking at our preliminary results from The Ohio Department of Education State Report Card, our school district met 26 of 26 of the state indicators for the 2011-12 School Year. We are very eager to welcome back our students back into our schools on August 22nd. It is always enjoyable to see their smiles again and watch them grow both academically and socially. Our focus as a school district is and will continue to be on supporting the excellence of our students while being financially responsible to our taxpayers.
