November Newsletter

I am Ms. Sarah Conkling, the new Intervention Specialist at Butler Elementary. I have the privilege of working with both fourth and fifth grade this year. Although I am new to Butler, I have a strong family history here. My mom went to Butler Elementary way back in the 1950s, and I have many aunts, uncles, and cousins who attended here, too! I have two sons who are in 6th and 7th grade at Clear Fork Middle School. During the fall you will find me driving them back and forth to either football or cross country practice most afternoons, loving every minute of it. I am a huge Buckeye fan and alumni. This has been such an exciting football season for the scarlet and gray! Teaching is an absolute passion of mine, and I hope all students can see that every day. My goal is to help each one of them reach their highest potential, while also learning how important they are. I am so blessed to be a part of Butler Elementary and am looking forward to an amazing year!

Thank you for following our new policy regarding visitors in the building! We appreciate that you are taking the time to enter door A2 in front of the building and signing in at the office!

Dismissal is still causing problems. Please follow the procedure of entering the line at the bottom of Wilson and not cutting in line from the side streets.

DO NOT park in front of the school and ask your child to cross the street. All children crossing must do so with our crossing guard at the corner of College St. and Morgan.

WINTER IS HERE…..please send your child to school with a coat, hat, and gloves. We will go outside and we want them to be warm! Those without a coat will be sent inside to sit with Miss Sally. We all know how much fun she is….but fresh air is best for our kids!

Important Announcements

Our Veteran’s Day program will be held at River of Life Church to accommodate parking for all of our guests. The program will begin at 9:00 a.m. Doors will open at 8:30 for guests. Students will be walking with their class from our school to the church. Please dress your children appropriate for the weather that day! We look forward to seeing everyone.

A huge thank you to our Book Fair Volunteers:
Sandy Salkovick, Kat Maglott, Kim Delaney, Jennifer Young, Julie Wilson, Heidi Mark, Tara Born, Shari Hoeflich, Ceaira Brazil, Tara Hayden, Amanda Stevens, Alicea Meadows, Jeremy Walker, Kristen Oswalt, and Wendy Ball

Without their help, we would not have been able to provide $100 worth of books to each classroom this year!

Butler Elementary now has a TWITTER page!  Follow @ButlerCFVLS for Tweets about positive happenings in our building.  We will also be documenting our building project!

The Clear Fork Valley Local Schools has signed up for a free service called Ohio Alerts. On Clear Fork’s main webpage:
