Lady Colts Tennis was one of 7 teams at the Mount Vernon Tournament Today, 8/9/25. Almost everyone got to play three matches. Aly ended up finishing 3rd overall at 1st singles, going 2-1, with the final victory over Newark 8-1. Makenna went 1-2, finished 6th, but had to retire in her last match. Both doubles teams were first-time pairings and played very hard. Coralene and Kailyn took on 1st doubles roles and had great communication along with some amazing hits. Addi/ Hailee, who just started playing tennis a week ago, really played well and even took 5 games in their final match, keeping it very close. Great job ladies...Next up, Ontario at Home at the Lexington Schools courts.

First match of the year vs Upper Sandusky. Aly Brokaw won 6-1 6-3, Makenna Wuertz came back from down a set and 0-4 in super tie break to win her match 2-6 6-4 10-6. Upper also won two matches also but the final match was a forfeit for us due to injury. We lost 2-3. Next up for the ladies colts tennis Mt Vernon tournament.
